In a major stride toward economic modernization, industrial expansion, and sustainable development, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has partnered with Sparrow Electric to introduce a landmark Electric Tricycle Initiative in Adamawa State.
At the heart of the initiative is an electric tricycle assembly plant with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units, positioning Adamawa among Nigeria’s emerging centers for clean energy technology and smart transportation solutions.
The project goes beyond mobility. It also includes the deployment of mini-grid power systems across different parts of the state, with a combined electricity generation capacity of about 35 megawatts. These installations are expected to boost power supply for households, businesses, and industrial operations, driving economic growth and improving livelihoods.
This transformative initiative is projected to create thousands of employment opportunities for young people, engineers, technicians, artisans, and entrepreneurs, while also reducing reliance on costly fuel and encouraging environmentally sustainable alternatives.
Governor Fintiri’s administration continues to demonstrate a forward-looking commitment to infrastructure development, investment promotion, job creation, and innovation-driven governance. Through initiatives like this, Adamawa State is steadily positioning itself as a destination for industrial growth and technological advancement. More than just a project, this initiative reflects a bold vision for the future — one that signals that Adamawa is rising, evolving with global trends, and confidently embracing a new era of progress and opportunity.
