It was a hectic day for top government officials on Sunday as several major developmental projects initiated by the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri-led administration were inspected ahead of their flag-off and commissioning in Yola.
Projects billed for commissioning include the new High Court Complex, the Bekaji Roundabout underpass, Yola North Model School, the Government Entrance Gate, and the new Governor’s Office Complex, among others.
One of the landmark projects inspected is the construction of a new permanent orientation camp for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), approved late last year by the Adamawa State Executive Council. The project is scheduled for flag-off at Malkohi in Yola South Local Government Area.
Leading the high-powered delegation during the inspection tour, the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa G. Farauta, expressed satisfaction with the level of completion of the projects and the quality of execution.
She reaffirmed the readiness and commitment of the Fintiri-led administration to continue investing resources in the development of the state, particularly in infrastructure, education, and housing.
Members of the delegation included the Chief of Staff, Government House, Yola, Dr. Edgar Amos; the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji; the Commissioner for Works and Energy, Adamu Atiku; the Commissioner for Education and Human Services, Dr. Umar Garba Pella ; and the Commissioner for Housing, Abdullahi Adamu Abdullahi Prambe.o
