UNFPA AND ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNMENT CONCLUDES A TWO -DAY JOINT END OF YEAR PROGRAMME REVIEW MEETING.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Adamawa State Government, have concluded a joint end-of-year review of their supported programme on the 20th and 21st November2025 .

The meeting was held at the Women Development Center Yola with Adamawa state planning commission representing the state government.

While declaring the session open ,the Executive chairman planning commission Dr Mary Panninga represented by the permanent secretary of the commission Mr. Tanimu Buba, welcomed and appreciates UNFPA for their continued support to the state, stating, We are pleased to partner with UNFPA in advancing our shared commitment to achieving sustainable development goals in Adamawa State. The review meeting provides an opportunity to reflect on our collective achievements and chart a way forward for enhanced programme implementation.

The representative of UNFPA Dr. Danladi,, emphasized the importance of their input, saying, “Your input is crucial in ensuring that our programmes are tailored to meet the needs of the people of Adamawa State.

The review assessed financial performance, implementation progress, and identified areas for improvement. Steady utilization of resources, with most implementing partners achieving satisfactory expenditure rates.
The successes achieved through this partnership are a testament to our shared commitment to sustainable development goals, said a representative from UNFPA.

The review meeting highlighted the importance of continued collaboration and strengthening of programme implementation to achieve desired results. The partnership between Adamawa State Government and UNFPA remains committed to achieving sustainable development goals.
